Secret Candidate for Governor?
I was surprised to hear from Mike DeRosa that a person who wishes to remain anonymous is engaged in some sort of discussion with Mike about the prospect of a Green Party candidacy for governor.
At this announcement, made at our State Central Committee meeting on Tuesday, Scott Deshefy remarked that if it’s the person he’s thinking of, that would be very satisfactory.
I said that if it’s the person I’m thinking of, it would be catastrophic. I was being sarcastic, because I really don’t like to encourage clandestine politics of any kind. If you’re for somebody, say so, is my way of thinking.
I’m not thrilled about giving this dude, if he is a dude, the political advantage of anonymity, and I think he ought to show himself, sooner rather than later.
